This topic describes unique behaviors and couplings associated with the following settings:
Apply Wxx RT license for waveform file
This checkbox appears in the Misc section of the Signal Generator Settings window regardless of the test selection, however, it is not applicable to W-CDMA tests. For W-CDMA tests, the Signal Studio software must have the waveform licenses.
With some test case exceptions, by checking this box, the software uses the Signal Studio real-time license to create, download, and play waveform files for non-real-time signals. No waveform license is required. If the Signal Studio software is licensed for waveform files and this box is checked, the software ignores the waveform file licenses and uses the real-time license instead. But there is no benefit to using this feature when the Signal Studio software is licensed for both real-time signals and waveform file type signals.
The Wxx real-time license checkbox does not affect the UTRA Interferer in LTE 6.2.6 tests, whether or not Use User Defined Waveform is activated. It also doesn't affect the Wanted Signal for LTE Clause 7 and 8 tests when Use User Defined Waveform is activated.
LTE test cases 8.3.4 to 8.3.9 requires the waveform licenses. For more information on waveform licenses, refer to the System Requirements.
See the State Checkbox Behavior topic.
See the Waveform Files topic.
By checking this box, it causes the grayed-out fields (inactive) to become active so they can be changed. The exception to this action is for the State checkbox and some of the fields when the PXB is used.
If the test settings are modified by using this feature, the test may no longer be in compliance with the 3GPP standards.
This setting is not available and does not show for LTE FDD/TDD test case 6.7 Transmit Intermodulation.
To use this feature, you must activate Override Settings. Consider the following when using a user-defined waveform:
The offset frequency setting must be included in the user-defined waveform file. The Offset Frequency setting in the Test Case Manager software has no effect on user-defined waveforms.
If a user-defined waveform is used for an LTE 6.2.6 UTRA Interferer, Channel Bandwidth and Interferer Position are not disabled, but have no effect on the UTRA interfering signal. However, Channel Bandwidth continues to affect the AWGN Interferer.
If a user-defined waveform is used for an LTE Clause 7 or 8 Wanted Signal, only the State, Signal Generator, Frequency, Amplitude, and SNR (Clause 8 only) settings have an effect on the wanted signal. All other parameters do not affect the wanted signal.
